Join Pride Health as a Specimen Technician at Irving, TX! This is a 3 months contract role (with possible extension) offering a great opportunity for experience to excel in a dynamic environment.
Role: Specimen Technician
Location: Irving, TX 75063
Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM CST (Night Shift)
Hours per Week: 40 hours
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Highlights: $17 - 20/hour (Based on years of experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform specimen processing functions, including presort, pickup, delivery, imaging, centrifugation, and aliquoting.
- Accurately enter specimen data, maintaining productivity and quality standards (minimum 6,000 keystrokes per hour).
- Support laboratory operations by ensuring timely and accurate specimen routing and documentation.
- Adhere to all safety, biohazard, and compliance procedures in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area.
- Communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
- Demonstrate flexibility to adapt to frequent changes in workflow and requirements.
- Participate in weekend, holiday, on-call, and overtime shifts as required by department needs.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience:
- Basic understanding of computers (Required)
- Knowledge of laboratory testing/specimen processing (Preferred)
- Previous laboratory or specimen processing experience (Preferred)
Note: Local candidates within 30 miles are eligible.
*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credit.
