Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract position is available for a self-contained special education teacher at an elementary school in Williamsburg, VA. This role involves managing an elementary caseload of 5-6 students, providing tailored instructional support to meet their unique educational needs. The assignment starts as soon as possible and continues through May 29th, 2026.

Key responsibilities include:

Designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
Delivering specialized instruction in a self-contained classroom setting
Monitoring and documenting student progress
Collaborating with parents, staff, and support personnel to enhance student outcomes
Adhering to all state and district guidelines related to special education

Qualifications:

Valid special education teaching license
Experience working with elementary-aged students in a special education setting
Ability to manage a small caseload independently
Strong communication and organizational skills
