About the Role

AMBA is seeking a dedicated Customer Service Representative to support providers and members by delivering accurate, efficient, and high‑quality service. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy problem‑solving, working in a fast‑paced call center environment, and supporting customers with insurance or policy-related questions.

You will handle inbound and outbound calls, assist with eligibility and claims inquiries, and provide clear, informed guidance across a variety of insurance-based customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound calls from providers regarding eligibility and claim status
  • Work in a call center environment handling both inbound and outbound customer calls
  • Respond to standard and complex customer inquiries via phone and email in a clear, easy‑to‑understand manner
  • Research customer questions and follow up through outbound calls or email
  • Assist customers with payments, policy changes, coverage explanations, and rate questions
  • Troubleshoot basic website errors or issues
  • Respond verbally and in writing to customer correspondence using reference materials
  • Request missing or additional information needed to finalize inquiries
  • Document client issues and escalate appropriately when needed
  • Support customers with L&H (Life & Health) or P&C (Property & Casualty) insurance policy questions

Qualifications

Must-Have:

  • 1+ year of customer service experience
  • High School Diploma or GED

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with L&H or P&C insurance
  • Experience in a high‑volume call center
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

Work Environment

Training Schedule:

  • Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM – 4:30 PM

Hours of Operation:

  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Candidates must be available for an 8‑hour shift within this window
  • Wide schedule availability is required

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Urbandale, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.31 - $17.31/hr.
