A busy hearing healthcare practice is seeking a motivated and compassionate Patient Care Coordinator to manage a high volume of patient calls while supporting daily front office operations.
As the first point of contact for patients, the Patient Care Coordinator plays a key role in creating a welcoming, organized experience. This role manages appointments, gathers patient information, and supports smooth day-to-day practice operations while serving as a liaison between patients and the clinical team.
Successful candidates demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while delivering excellent patient service.
Responsibilities
- Scheduling patient appointments to meet patient flow demand.
- Verifying and inputting patient information into the database
- Answering phone calls with excellent patient service skills
- Preparing and mailing patient correspondence, monthly information, birthday letters, cards, direct mail, etc.
- Completing insurance verification
- Following HIPAA guidelines and practice policies to maintain patient privacy
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service skills and outgoing personality
- Self-motivated with the ability to exceed patient expectations
- Strong computer skills (i.e., data entry, word, excel, email)
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
