Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include:
- Accurate and efficient documentation of patient medical history and chief complaint
- Accurately perform refraction, slit lamp examination, tonometry, and Amsler grid
- Assist the physician with scribing, in-office procedures, and lasers
- Accurately perform visual fields, pachymetry, OCT, corneal topography, fundus photography
- Communicate with patients involving follow up care for surgeries and procedures
- Clean and maintain ophthalmic equipment
- Stock medical supplies
- Returns phone calls to patients, pharmacies, and other physicians daily
Qualifications:
- Ophthalmology knowledge and related work experience (Preferred)
- Successful completion of JCAHPO COA, COT, COMT (Preferred)
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record systems, Knowledge of Modernizing Medicine (EMA - Preferred)
- Multi-tasker with excellent communication skills
Expected hours: 37.50 – 40 per week
