Job Description
United Sports in Downingtown, PA is seeking a responsible person to serve as a part-time van driver (no CDL needed) for its Before and After School Programs. Applicants do not need to be available for both to apply.
Summary of Job Duties:
The van driver will operate a 10-passenger van and transport students to various elementary schools located in the Downingtown area. Schools we currently service are Beaver Creek Elementary, Brandywine Wallace, Bradford Heights Elementary, Collegium Charter School, East Ward Elementary, Caln Elementary and West Bradford Elementary. The van driver must be able to safely transport school students on the scheduled bus routes. This position will also assist with performing a prescribed per-operational safety maintenance check, as well as accumulate and record statistics for daily log reports on route service. Other duties as assigned.
Shifts Available:
Monday - Friday, 7:30am to 9:30am
Monday - Friday, 3:00pm to 5:00pm
Drivers do not need to be available every day to apply. Drivers can also apply for either just morning or afternoon shifts.
On days that the schools have in-service days and early dismissal days the schedule will be flexible. Additional hours may be available as the program continues to grow and the ability to assist with the day-to-day before and after school program supervision is a plus. Most weeks would average 10-12 hours per week.
Availability and flexibility are key. Regular, non-disruptive, and reliable attendance is an essential job duty.
Hourly Range: $15 - $20 per hour
Minimum Qualifications (not needed to apply initially):
The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma
Age 25 or older
A valid Pennsylvania Drivers License in good standing
