Job DescriptionJob Posting: Plastic Injection Molding Machine Operator (Lead / Supervisor)About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Plastic Injection Molding Machine Operator to take on a leadership role supervising a team of 10 operators. This position is ideal for someone who is hands-on, technically skilled, and confident in guiding others in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, set up, and troubleshoot plastic injection molding machines
- Lead, train, and supervise a team of 10 machine operators
- Ensure production goals, quality standards, and safety protocols are consistently met
- Perform mold changes, machine adjustments, and basic maintenance
- Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to resolve production issues
- Maintain accurate production and shift documentation
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the department
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of plastic injection molding experience
- Minimum 2 years of tool & die experience
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions
- Commitment to safety, quality, and team development
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mason City, IA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $27.00/hr.
