Casco is actively seeking the Construction profession that is well experienced and well-matched to the Casco culture. The ideal candidate will have strong, demonstrated career history in commercial construction and will work with a team of professionals in a fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Responsible for technical services, quality, and production methods and standards, all within established goals and objectives
· Manage delivery of project construction services to meet client expectations
· Lead strategic planning, budgeting, and plan implementation
· Oversee project staffing and workload management of the area field services group
· Identify and provide opportunities for staff growth and development
· Assist with the identification and recruitment of prospective future market sector employees
· Understanding of site logistics, planning, site safety and construction operations
· Comprehension in construction plans, specification, contracts, purchase agreements and project scope
· Oversee the ITB (Invitation to Bid) process
· Review construction and legal documents for completeness and constructability,
· Knowledge of all aspects of construction technology and methods; trade agreements, jurisdiction and negotiations; engineering, cost control schedules and safety,
· Excellent communication, organization, and supervisory skills
· Ensure that effective project plans are created, maintained as well as kept up to date daily or weekly as appropriate to reflect status of project activities; this includes clearly articulating plus tracking all critical path activities timelines
· Function as the project management team lead & ensure effective management of assigned internal as well as external resources toward the common goal of quality plus timely deliverable of product services that meets stakeholders’ expectations,
· Lead or supervise team meetings - internal customers teams - to provide status updates
· Monitor risks/issues as they arise; Working with project teams management to respond efficiently for resolution on any risks to the critical path
· Manage Pre-construction, Project Management, Field Superintendent and Safety teams,
· Manage change order control in regard to project costs, estimates, scope target schedules,
· Promote Quality Assurance/Quality Control; work with area leadership to assist the local programs with key technical expertise to support marketing and project activities.
· Supplemental responsibilities of the position will involve Business Development aspects, assisting in assessing the Colorado marketplace and participating in decisions for the best business approach to win and secure contracts. This would involve working with Colorado Area leadership on development and delivery of area and market sector initiatives and growth of the Construction Management program. Expectations would also include working with the client development leaders to drive client development and pursuit processes based on proven capture techniques.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
· 15+ years related experience in construction management
· Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field is preferred. Previous experience in similar role is applicable
· Valid driver’s license
· Proficient in Microsoft Suites such as Project, Excel, Outlook, and Word
· Experience in Buildertrend (or similar job management platform)
· Conflict management experience
