About the Role


We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS) to lead our Outpatient Clinical Team. This role is responsible for supervising, implementing, coordinating, and managing client care in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.


The Clinical Supervisor provides direct clinical oversight to counselors and paraprofessional staff while ensuring high-quality, person-centered care for individuals receiving mental health (MH) and substance use disorder (SUD) treatment services.


Minimum Requirements


You must meet ALL of the following to be considered:

  • Active LCAS (Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist) licensure in North Carolina
  • Master’s degree in Human Services or related field approved by the NC Addictions Specialist Professional Practice Board
  • Supervisory experience in a clinical setting
  • Experience working in mental health and substance use disorder treatment
  • Experience developing and reviewing PCPs (Person-Centered Plans) and CCAs (Comprehensive Clinical Assessments)
  • Experience facilitating clinical groups and providing case management services
  • Valid North Carolina or South Carolina Driver’s License


Essential Responsibilities


Clinical Leadership & Oversight

  • Provide clinical supervision to counselors, interns, and paraprofessional staff
  • Ensure quality, compliant documentation including PCPs, CCAs, progress notes, and treatment plans
  • Train and monitor staff on clinical processes and documentation standards
  • Participate in QA/QI initiatives and ensure timely correction of compliance issues
  • Complete comprehensive clinical assessments as needed
  • Facilitate groups and individual sessions when clinically appropriate
  • Assist clients in identifying and overcoming barriers to recovery
  • Promote family involvement when appropriate
  • Assist with admissions, transitions, and discharges


Supervisory & Administrative Duties

  • Lead recruitment, hiring, performance evaluations, coaching, and corrective actions
  • Foster team morale and model professional behavior
  • Respond in a leadership capacity to crisis situations involving client or staff safety
  • Complete and track incident reports in accordance with state and agency guidelines
  • Coordinate supervision of interns and support professional development
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure person-centered, best-practice care
  • Administer medications (as trained and ordered) and complete UDS screenings as needed
  • Perform the duties of supervised staff when operationally necessary
