Job Description:Position Overview:We are seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated individual to join our team at Zeo Energy as a Collections & Reconciliation Agent. In this role, you will proactively contact customers with overdue payments, negotiate payment arrangements, and follow up to ensure compliance. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on autonomy, enjoys problem-solving, and takes pride in driving measurable results. You'll own the entire collections and payment reconciliation process, with the freedom to improve systems and create efficiencies as you see fit.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively contact customers with overdue payments via phone and email
  • Negotiate payment arrangements and establish manageable payment plans
  • Monitor and follow up on existing customer payment plans to ensure compliance
  • Reconcile daily bank statements with payments received across multiple channels
  • Create and process bank receipts, accurately posting payments to customer accounts and resolving payment discrepancies and posting errors
  • Maintain detailed records of all collection activities, financial transactions, reconciliation reports, and customer interactions
  • Identify inefficiencies in current collection and reconciliation workflows and propose and implement improvements to streamline operations
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all account updates


Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or customer service with a preference of experience in the solar or renewable energy industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with customers and handle sensitive financial conversations with tact and persistence
  • Meticulous attention to detail and numerical accuracy
  • Familiarity with accounting software or payment processing systems
  • Basic understanding of financial reconciliation processes
