Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location - Midtown Manhattan, New York (1.5 Miles from Empire State Building)
Position Summary:
We are seeking an efficient, patient, and compassionate Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our high-volume outpatient clinic. The ideal candidate will be well-organized, experienced in working with both children and adults, and skilled in carrying out patient studies, dosing, and quality control procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform brain SPECT scans and related quality assurance procedures.
- Prepare and administer IVs and patient doses.
- Process and print scan images before the end of the workday.
- Conduct daily camera and hot lab quality control checks.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date logbook.
- Perform sealed source leak tests, calibrator linearity tests, and other regulatory assessments.
- Order correct isotope vials a day before scans.
- Ensure proper documentation of all procedures and test results.
- Manage medical supplies inventory.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Current Nuclear Medicine Technologist License in the applicable state.
- Ability to efficiently handle large patient volumes in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, especially when working with challenging patients.
- Effective time management, organization, and teamwork abilities.
- Empathy and emotional stability for patient care.
- Familiarity with brain imaging (Picker Prism 3000 system is a plus).
