Tool Room Supervisor | Kentwood, MI
Salary Range: $61,000 - $91,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the organization, inventory, and maintenance of all tools, dies, fixtures, and equipment.
- Develop and implement procedures for tool issuing, receiving, and tracking.
- Supervise and train tool room personnel, including machinists and technicians.
- Ensure timely repair and refurbishment of tools and equipment to minimize downtime.
- Manage tool crib inventory levels and reorder necessary supplies and tooling.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment within the tool room.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to address tooling needs and resolve issues.
- Implement and enforce quality control standards for all tool repairs and fabrications.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proven experience in tool room operations and management within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of tooling, machining processes, and preventative maintenance.
- Excellent leadership and team supervision skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management and control systems.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and standards.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software and CNC machining operations.
Bonus Qualifications
- - Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
- - Familiarity with inventory management software and ERP systems.
- - Certification in a relevant trade (e.g., Machining, Tool & Die).
- - Basic understanding of preventative maintenance schedules for tooling.
