Our client is an established equipment rental and mechanic services company, based in Pearland. This position will play a critical role in tracking parts orders for both stock inventory and client orders. An ideal candidate will be self motivated, eager to learn and grow withing their career.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ordering and processing customer and/or vendor parts request through over the counter and telephone sales
  • Maintaining and managing inventory
  • Accurate and timely data entry for parts, sales orders purchasing, receiving, physical count maintenance, and warehousing process
  • Purchasing and expediting parts and materials
  • Maintain parts processing and filing of invoices and other documents that pertain to daily job functions
  • Receive, unload, and put away parts shipments
  • Gathering and shipping of parts for special parts returns and in support of warranty claims
  • Assist in returning cores back to factories as required
  • Assist with physical counts of the inventory
  • Assist with all necessary reporting for inventory adjustments between physical and computer records
  • Manage daily activity of all parts and warehouse personnel
  • Maintain a clean and orderly parts area and warehouse
  • Assist service and sales departments as needed
  • Additional duties as required.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Clerical - touch typing, filing, data entry, basic spreadsheet, e-mail, fax
  • Organizational – organize and prioritize tasks, work on a schedule with deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven Customer Relation skills
  • Attention to detail and follow-up
  • Relationship Building - ability to work well with others in different job positions, customers and vendors
  • Mechanical Aptitude - broad knowledge of truck and auto parts

REQUIREMENTS:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office
  • Experience with electronic parts inventory system, preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Effective communication skills (written, oral)
  • Ability to prioritize duties and exhibit initiative
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • General knowledge heavy machinery
  • Must be able to stand, crouch and lift up to 50 lbs in standard workday
  • Bi-lingual a plus
