Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school-based speech-language pathologist opportunity is available in Oakland, CA, supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This full-time, contract position spans the entire 2025-2026 school year, offering multiple openings to accommodate a variety of preferences across age groups.
Key qualifications and experience:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence), CFY (Clinical Fellowship Year), or valid School SLP credentials
- Experience working in K-12 educational settings preferred
- Strong skills in both speech therapy delivery and assessment procedures
- Ability to tailor services based on student age and individual needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for work with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams
Primary responsibilities include:
- Providing evidence-based speech and language therapy to students spanning K-12
- Conducting comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify and monitor student progress
- Developing individualized treatment plans aligned with educational goals
- Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families to support integrated student success
- Maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with state and federal educational regulations
