Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled, compassionate, and patient-focused Dental Hygienist to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about promoting oral health as an integral part of total body wellness and committed to providing outstanding patient care in alignment with our complete health philosophy. You will play a crucial role in educating patients, performing preventive treatments, and contributing to a positive and supportive practice environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive dental hygiene procedures, including prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, and periodontal charting.
- Conduct thorough oral health assessments, including medical and dental history review, oral cancer screenings, and vital signs monitoring.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventative care, and the strong link between oral health and overall systemic health.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools such as 3D scans and digital X-rays to aid in treatment planning.
- Collaborate closely with the dentist and dental team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide (if licensed and applicable).
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including dental charting, treatment notes, and medical alerts.
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Provide a comfortable and welcoming experience for all patients.
Qualifications:
- Valid state license as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH).
- Current CPR certification.
- Proficiency in dental software and digital imaging.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong commitment to patient education and preventative care.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
