Opportunity Highlights
- Become a member of a team consisting of 5 Physicians and 3 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
- Work primarily in an inpatient setting (80%) with some clinic responsibilities (20%)
- Participate in a call rotation of 1:5
- Manage a rounding and consult volume of 12-15 patients daily
- Handle a clinic volume of 12-15 patients, with APP support for follow-ups
- Benefit from 24/7 coverage by Pulmonary Critical Care and Hospitalists
- Engage as part of the Internal Medicine Residency Faculty
- Utilize a built-in referral network

- Guaranteed annual salary of $285,261 for the first two years

Our Des Moines facility comprises four hospitals in central and southern Iowa, totaling 875 beds, and oversees 16 rural hospitals. The Des Moines Medical Center is a Level II Trauma center with 550 beds, serving a tertiary area of 1.4 million residents and hosting one of Iowa's busiest Emergency Departments. We have received the Get With The Guidelines-Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award from the American Stroke Association and are the only hospital in Iowa to earn the Gold Seal of Approval and Primary Stroke Center certification from the Joint Commission.
