Job Description

Perform hanging, unloading, pre-staging, masking, and painting operations to established standards. The process is easily repeatable, requiring a low amount of troubleshooting and adjustment to complete assigned tasks. Follow pre-established guidelines, procedures, plans, and priorities as set by the supervisor. Understand continuous improvement opportunities of paint processes and maintain paint equipment in good operating order. Train in the paint booth to learn powder coat painting.

Responsibilities

• Perform hanging, unloading, pre-staging, masking, and painting operations.
• Follow pre-established guidelines, procedures, plans, and priorities.
• Maintain paint equipment in good operating order.
• Understand and implement continuous improvement opportunities in paint processes.
• Train in powder coat painting.

Essential Skills

• 6+ months of painting experience, preferably in powder coat painting.
• Proficiency in painting, paint prep, spray painting, and industrial painting.
• Experience with commercial or residential painting.
• Familiarity with production, paint booth, and spray gun operations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of industrial painting experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently.
• Capability to bend, twist, or turn repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Good work history, even if not in manufacturing.
• Effective communication skills and good memorization abilities.

Work Environment

This is a manufacturing facility that is not air-conditioned and can get hot in the summer. However, it offers very nice lighting with skylights and high ceilings, creating a spacious and team-oriented environment. Paint suits are air-conditioned, making this the nicest position to be in during hot summer days.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anoka, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
