Your Role as a Behavior Analyst
- Provide Staff Support – Collaborate with the Clinical Director and clinicians to guide and assist instructional staff in implementing behavior support strategies across settings.
- Conduct Behavioral Assessments – Complete functional behavioral assessments and/or functional analyses; communicate findings and recommendations to the instructional team and families.
- Develop Treatment Plans – Create individualized treatment goals and behavior intervention plans that promote student success and align with school-wide objectives.
- Support Program Development – Assist in creating plans and protocols that help students meet educational and behavioral objectives in coordination with Special Education teachers and the Clinical Director.
- Train and Coach Staff – Provide ongoing training and coaching to staff on the principles and practices of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and ensure consistency across classrooms.
- Partner with the Instructional Team – Collaborate with teachers and related service providers to implement a multidisciplinary approach that integrates academic, behavioral, and therapeutic strategies.
- Engage with Families – Participate in home visits to provide parent support, home programming, and training to ensure continuity between school and home environments.
- Support Assessments and IEP Development – Assist with developmental assessments, goal writing, and progress updates within the behavioral domain of student IEPs.
- Monitor and Report Progress – Prepare detailed progress reports on goals, objectives, and behavior support plans; analyze data to inform instructional and behavioral decisions.
- Ensure Treatment Integrity – Assist in monitoring the fidelity of interventions, procedural integrity, and accuracy of data collection.
- Promote Safety and Professionalism – Help maintain a safe and supportive learning environment by taking reasonable precautions to protect students, materials, and facilities; perform all duties in accordance with Sage Alliance safety practices and standards.
- Collaborate and Contribute – Attend school-related functions, summarize and share data-driven insights with staff and families, and perform other duties as assigned by the Clinical Director.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in human services, education, psychology, counseling, social work or related field
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Experience in settings using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Verbal Behavior (VB)
- Experience in a school or community based setting serving individuals with special needs
