- Shift: Day Shift
- Schedule: Monday – Friday
- Shift Timing: 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Hours: 37.5 Hours per Week
- Compensation: $64/hr – $80/hr (Based on Experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced X-Ray Technologist to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of radiologic technology experience and hands-on experience operating GE and Carestream imaging equipment. This role is responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic procedures while ensuring patient safety, image quality, and compliance with applicable regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.
- Prepare, position, and educate patients for imaging procedures while ensuring comfort and safety.
- Operate radiographic imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Utilize radiation protection techniques and adhere to all safety and compliance standards.
- Review and verify image quality before submission for interpretation.
- Maintain accurate patient records and complete imaging documentation in accordance with departmental requirements.
- Process and manage digital images through PACS and related imaging systems.
- Monitor imaging equipment performance and report maintenance issues as needed.
- Assist with inventory management and supply control within the imaging department.
- Follow infection prevention and control protocols.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
Required QualificationsEducation
- Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
Licensure & Certifications
- Active New York State Licensed Radiologic Technologist (LRT).
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of X-Ray / Diagnostic Radiology experience.
- Experience operating GE Imaging Equipment.
- Experience working with Carestream Imaging Systems.
- Strong patient care, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Required Certifications
- New York State Radiologic Technologist License (LRT)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
