Job DescriptionAccounts Payable Specialist
LHH recruitment solutions is hiring for an Accounts Payable Specialist in the Palm Beach Gardens, FL area. Our client is looking for a contracted accounts payable specialist with a strong background in COUPA software. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of invoices, expense reports, and payments to vendors and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
· Receive, review, and verify invoices and payment requests for accuracy, completeness, and proper authorization.
· Prepare and process batch payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire payments, following established procedures.
· Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
· Monitor accounts to ensure payments are current and identify outstanding issues requiring follow-up.
· Communicate with vendors and internal departments to address queries and ensure smooth payment processes.
· Maintain accurate records of all transactions, including digital and hard copy filing in accordance with company retention policies.
· Support month-end and year-end closing activities by providing necessary documentation and analysis.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business preferred.
· Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounts payable.
· Proficiency in accounting software specifically COUPA strongly preferred.
· Strong excel skills
This position is a contracted assignment for 6 months and possibly longer that can pay $24/hr-$27/hr depending on resume and experience. Please apply today!
