Pay: $23-$25/hour (based on experience)
Schedule:

• Training: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• After training: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
  Assignment Type: Short-term or evaluation-to-hire (to be determined)

Job Overview

Express Employment Professionals - Woodbury is partnering with a local manufacturer to hire a Shear / Stock Cutter. This role focuses on cutting raw materials accurately and efficiently to meet production specifications. The client is open to short-term support or long-term hire depending on business needs and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Cut roll and sheet stock using sheeters, slitters, guillotine cutters, and related equipment
• Measure, mark, and verify cuts to ensure accuracy and minimize waste
• Read and follow work orders, cut specs, and material requirements
• Inspect materials for defects before and after cutting
• Perform basic machine setup and adjustments
• Handle materials including vinyls, films, laminates, adhesives, and specialty substrates
• Communicate material shortages, defects, or issues to supervisors
• Assist with inventory handling and material movement
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures
• Cross-train in Screen Prep (shooting, cleaning, reclaiming, and stretching screens)

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to read measurements and use measuring tools
• Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort around production equipment
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Good time management and problem-solving skills
• Adaptable to changing schedules and production needs
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Reliable, professional, and safety-minded
• Basic computer skills

Physical Requirements

• Lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs
• Stand for extended periods
• Frequent bending, reaching, and material handling
