Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Two full-time Special Education Teacher positions are available for elementary school leave coverage in Brockton, MA. These contract roles involve supporting students with moderate to intensive special education needs, offering a dynamic and rewarding classroom experience from January through April.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and support to elementary students with moderate and intensive special education needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with state guidelines
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to foster inclusive learning environments
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in team meetings
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Massachusetts Special Education teaching license at the Moderate or higher level
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in special education settings
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, instructional strategies, and behavior management techniques
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs
Location and Schedule:
- Position based in Brockton, MA
- Full-time, 32.5 hours per week
- Leave coverage from January through April
