GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Die Cut Operator will be responsible for the performance of manual task in the set-up, maintenance and operation of the die cut equipment to accurately produce to customer specification. The Die Cut Operator is also responsible for coordinating efforts as part of the team to provide assistance to all co-workers (in all departments) as needed to maximize production efficiencies. All employees must follow all Interpress Technologies safety procedures, food procedures and policies including wearing protective equipment.

DISTIGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:

Die Cut Operator I

This is the entry-level classification in the Die Cut Operator series; incumbents will be in constant supervision and training.

Die Cut Operator II

This can be a journey-level to advance classification in the Die Cut Operator series; incumbents will be expected to perform all Die Cut Operator duties with little to no supervision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPOSIBILITIES:

To perform this job successfully an individual must be competent and able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Die Cut Operator I Trained and Supervised in below duties

· Set up and operation of die cutting presses.

· Loading and unloading pallets of material for the presses.

· Stripping waste and removing waste materials.

· Performing troubleshooting tasks, making all necessary adjustments to maintain quality of die cut materials and productivity of the die-cutting operation.

· Effectively preparing Make-Readies and changing tooling in standard BOBST presses.

· Make effective machine and tooling adjustments in the Feeder, Platen and Stripping Station to register printed material.

· Recognizing defects on dies and strippers and taking appropriate action to ensure problems are corrected.

· Running the Aerator-Jogger.

· Follow all GMP and safety procedures.

· Understand HACCP Plan

· Monitoring preventive measures.

· Personnel Hygiene

· Sampling and test methods

· Ensure product meets quality and customer standards.

· Ensures working area is clean throughout the day and at the end of the shift.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position requires working in a manufacturing setting. Work often requires extended work hours, including weekend work. Working conditions may not be environmentally controlled resulting in hot or cold temperatures depending on weather conditions. While working in the manufacturing area, the employee may work in areas where there is moving warehouse equipment and must exercise care to avoid injury in these environments.
