Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher to provide in-person services to students with Autism in a school setting. The position is contract-based, requiring 30 to 32.5 hours per week, located in Derry, NH. Hiring is immediate, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact on students' educational experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support to students with Autism tailored to their individual needs.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and other stakeholders to foster a collaborative learning environment.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student performance and behavioral observations.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid special education teaching certification applicable to the state.
- Experience working directly with students on the autism spectrum.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based instructional strategies for special education.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with classroom teachers, therapists, and families.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
