A 4-6 month contract opportunity is available for a licensed Pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical care in a well-established setting. This role offers a schedule primarily Monday through Friday with occasional weekend coverage, supporting patient health and safety through accurate medication dispensing and counseling.
Location:
- Southgate, Kentucky (with proximity to Ft Mitchell)
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday shifts: 7:00am3:00pm, 8:00am4:00pm, or 9:00am5:00pm
- Pharmacists typically work the closing shift (11:00am7:00pm) once weekly
- Weekend hours: Saturday 7:00am3:30pm, Sunday 11:00am5:00pm (one weekend per month)
Responsibilities:
- Accurately process and dispense prescription orders while ensuring compliance with all pharmacy laws and regulations
- Provide counseling to patients on prescription medications and general health care needs
- Maintain patient confidentiality and properly document controlled substances handling
- Collaborate with physicians and use reference materials to resolve prescription-related inquiries
- Perform order verification to assure safe and effective medication dispensing
Qualifications:
- Active and clear Pharmacist license in the state of Kentucky
- Minimum of 1 year pharmacy experience, preferably in retail or mail order settings
