Seeking dedicated special education professionals to support students in a welcoming district in the northern suburbs of Denver. Opportunities are available in a smaller, student-focused community with approximately 7,000 students across 16 locations. Whether you’re a recent graduate or an experienced educator, this district values diverse backgrounds and fosters a collaborative atmosphere.

Open contract roles span K-12 grades, covering both mild-moderate and moderate-severe classroom settings. Candidates will join supportive teams committed to making a difference for learners with a range of needs. Assignments require a Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education License and involve case management, direct instruction, and individualized student support.

Available Positions:

  • Special Education Generalist/Resource Teacher (grades 9-12, Mild-Moderate; York International School; caseload: 30-40)
  • Special Education Generalist/Resource Teacher (grades K-8, Mild-Moderate; Explore PK-8; caseload: 30-40)
  • Inclusive Learning Community (ILC) Center-Based Classroom Teacher (grades 4-8, Moderate-Severe, Autism Spectrum focus; Global Intermediate Academy; caseload: 10)
  • Inclusive Learning Community (ILC) Center-Based Classroom Teacher (grades K-3, Moderate-Severe, Developmental Delay focus; Meadow Community School; caseload: 10)

What You'll Need:

  • Valid (or in-process) CDE Special Education License—status of application must be shared at submission
  • CPI training is an advantage; district offers CPI training for all contractors
  • Willingness to facilitate both in-person and virtual interviews as needed
  • Enthusiasm for relocation (for travel candidates), with updated relocation status

Role Highlights:

  • 37.5-hour workweek
  • K-12 settings, personalized to your preference and expertise
  • Supportive administration and collaborative colleagues
  • Two-step interview process (first via Teams, then panel in-person or virtual)

If you’re inspired to champion diverse learners and ready for a supportive contract opportunity in Northern Colorado, submit your resume and indicate the position(s) you wish to pursue. Take the next step in your special education career and make a remarkable impact!

Compensation for this position ranges from $31.34 to $50.82. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
