Operating Room Nurse Manager position in Arlington Texas Full time $84,843 to $127,275 yearly BOE
Job Summary:
We’re looking for an experienced and dedicated Operating Room (OR) Nurse Manager to lead our surgical nursing team. In this role, you'll make sure patients receive high-quality nursing care during surgery by overseeing and supporting the OR nursing staff. You’ll also help train new and current staff, develop policies and procedures, manage budgets, and work closely with hospital leadership and other departments.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee nursing care for all surgery patients in the OR.

Plan, organize, and evaluate how care is delivered by the OR nursing team.

Support and help train OR staff with the OR Educator.

Identify team training needs and develop training programs.

Create and manage department goals, policies, and procedures.

Ensure the OR department stays within budget.

Serve as the main link between OR staff, hospital leadership, medical staff, and other departments.

Help conduct staff performance evaluations.

Attend leadership and planning meetings.

Work with leadership teams on budget planning and decision-making.
Qualifications:

At least 2 years of leadership experience in an acute care OR setting.

Minimum of 5 years as a staff RN in the operating room.

Strong knowledge of surgical nursing practices.

Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required.

Current RN license in Texas or a compact state license.

Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

CNOR certification preferred.
