Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available on a contract basis, serving students from pre-kindergarten through 5th grade. This role is located in Washington Navy Yard, DC, and offers an opportunity to work within an educational setting supporting a diverse pediatric population.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to students in grades PK3 through 5th grade.
- Utilize expertise in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) to support students communication needs.
- Implement therapeutic interventions using tools such as TouchChat and LAMP Words for Life.
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Conduct assessments and document progress for each students individualized education program (IEP).
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) or equivalent credential.
- Experience working as an SLP in school-based settings, preferably with pediatric caseloads.
- Familiarity with AAC technologies, including TouchChat and LAMP Words for Life.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric speech and language development.
- Current state licensure or eligibility to practice in Washington, D.C.
- Ability to commit to a part-time schedule of approximately 20 hours per week.
