CDL Truck Driver


About Us:Quality Distribution, LLC., is a leading Third-Party Warehouse and Distribution Company based in Utah. We are looking for an experienced and dependable Full Time Truck Driver to join our team. You will safely and efficiently drive a large commercial vehicle long distance for extended hours to deliver cargo. All safety regulations and standards regarding size, weight, and break periods must be followed. Our ideal candidate has a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and has previous training in operating and driving. You will also be responsible for receiving cargo, parking in appropriate docks, tracking mileage, and documenting schedules, inventory delivery confirmation, and manifests.

We are conveniently located just 2 miles West of the Salt Lake International Airport.

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

Truck Driver Responsibilities

  • Plan routes to meet delivery schedules.
  • Supervise loading and unloading of cargo off the truck and ensure cargo is secured.
  • Follow all state and national large truck driving safety regulations and standards.
  • Complete documentation for mileage and cargo; keep track of mileage, fuel, and toll expenses; confirm inventory matches shipping documents.
  • Refuel vehicle and check or replace oil as needed. Inspect trucks daily for damage or maintenance problems. Report any accidents or vehicle issues encountered while driving to supervisors. Maintain vehicle equipment.

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid and current Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
  • 2+ years professional driving experience or related work experience. Must have a clean driving record with no recent moving violations.
  • Skills: Proficient at driving, maneuvering, and parking large vehicles. Dependable, hardworking, and an effective communicator. Able to work nights, weekends, extended hours, and holidays as needed.
  • Mathematical and Reasoning Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud depending on operating in a truck or in the warehouse.
