Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform, interpret, evaluate, and record solution analysis and titration results using analytical lab tests in compliance with standard testing methods and procedures.
  • Perform, interpret, evaluate, and record weekly and monthly test panel testing (salt spray, IGA/EGP, coating weight, electrical contact resisitance, etc.)
  • Make daily/weekly/monthly chemical addition recommendations to management to ensure required chemistry is maintained in compliance per process specifications.
  • Perform chemical additions and waste water processing as necessary to support the needs of the area.
  • Perform, interpret, evaluate, and record process control tests such as adhesion tests, surface finish tests, visual examinations, water break tests, and other validation activities.
  • Prepare samples and documentation to be sent to an approved outside laboratory for analysis. Review and log outside lab reports accordingly.
  • Record all test data in TrueChem software on a daily/weekly/monthly basis as required by process specifications.
  • Create and review trends within tank chemistry to determine tank life.
  • Maintain inventory of test materials, process chemicals, laboratory chemicals, and other supplies, including shelf life items, to ensure lab work readiness.
  • Troubleshoot, clean, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments to ensure compliance to lab cleaniness and test accuracy requirements.
  • Maintain and monitor SPC data in TrueChem software to ensure chemical processes are statistically in control per process specifications.
  • Assist Maintenance with troubleshooting, calibration, and maintaining chemical processing equipment and facilities.
  • Assist Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Nondestructive Testing, Final Inspection, Production, and other key areas with special projects as assigned.
  • Conform to Seyer Industries Quality Management System (QMS) requirements, policies, and procedures.
  • Conform to Chemical Processing NADCAP requirements, and assist with NADCAP audits
