About the Role:

The Installer - Technology plays a critical role in ensuring the successful deployment and integration of advanced technological systems for residential and commercial clients across the United States. This position involves the precise installation, configuration, and testing of various technology products, including but not limited to security systems, networking equipment, audiovisual devices, and smart home technologies. The Installer is responsible for interpreting technical documentation and blueprints to deliver seamless and efficient setups that meet client specifications and industry standards. Collaboration with project managers, technicians, and clients is essential to troubleshoot issues and provide exceptional service throughout the installation process. Ultimately, this role ensures that technology solutions are operational, reliable, and enhance the user experience, contributing to the company’s reputation for quality and innovation.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Proven experience in technology installation, preferably in security, networking, or audiovisual systems.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems and wiring.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in technology installation or related fields (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CEDIA, or similar).
  • Experience with smart home automation systems and IoT devices.
  • Familiarity with industry safety standards and OSHA regulations.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform on-site installation of technology systems such as security cameras, alarm systems, networking hardware, and smart home devices according to technical specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate and efficient installations.
  • Test and configure installed equipment to verify proper operation and troubleshoot any issues that arise during or after installation.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to explain system functionality, answer questions, and provide training on the use of installed technology.
  • Maintain accurate records of installations, service reports, and inventory usage to support project tracking and quality control.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and industry regulations to ensure a safe working environment for self and others.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate schedules, share technical knowledge, and improve installation processes.
