The DNA Group is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to support our client’s Office of Information Systems (OIS), Application Software Development (ASD) team. This role focuses on capturing, analyzing, documenting, and managing business and system requirements across the full software development lifecycle (SDLC). The Business Analyst will work closely with stakeholders, developers, QA teams, and government clients to ensure requirements are accurately translated into system functionality and delivered successfully.


Overview Requirements:

• Elicit, capture, and manage business and system requirements across multiple stakeholders
• Develop and maintain requirements documentation, use cases, and traceability matrices (RTM)
• Conduct business and system analysis to define functional, non-functional, and performance requirements
• Work closely with developers, QA, and business stakeholders to ensure requirements are understood and implemented correctly
• Facilitate working sessions, stakeholder interviews, and requirement-gathering workshops
• Develop workflows, process diagrams, system diagrams, and visual models using tools such as Visio
• Create and maintain system documentation, user guides, release notes, and SOPs
• Support Agile/SCRUM ceremonies and SDLC processes
• Analyze and redesign business processes and workflows for system improvements
• Provide input into testing strategy and support QA validation of requirements
• Translate business needs into clear technical and functional specifications
• Prepare presentations, documentation, and reports for stakeholders and leadership
• Ensure compliance with government policies, standards, and system requirements
• Support performance analysis and troubleshooting of application issues
• Recommend improvements in tools, processes, and system design
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure delivery of secure, defect-free systems


Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience
• 11–15+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst
• Strong experience in requirements gathering, documentation, and analysis
• Experience working in Agile and SDLC environments
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working with stakeholders at multiple levels (users to executive leadership)
• Experience creating process flows, system diagrams, and business documentation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience supporting software development, testing, and delivery cycles
• Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

• Business process analysis, workflow redesign, and complex logic modeling: 10 years (Required)
• System and business requirements documentation: 10 years (Required)
• Experience in Agile / SCRUM methodologies: 5 years (Required)
• Experience with web-based case management, portals, or data systems in human services: 5 years (Required)
• Experience with Visio and requirements tools (Jira, Contour, etc.): 5 years (Required)
• Experience working cross-functionally with developers, QA, and stakeholders: 5 years (Required)
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills: 5 years (Required)
