Job Description:
We are looking to hire an upbeat and professional Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA), to assist the supervising health care team with the everyday activities of patients in a home health & assisted living facility setting.Addressing deficits in a patients ability to perform activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL) relative to physical, cognitive, and/or psychological impairments.
Responsibilities:
- Support patient health and participation in life through engaging in everyday activities in collaboration with other health care providers.
- Observe patients they are working with before, during and after therapy and communicating report notes to health care team for optimal patient care.
- Counsel patients and families on what to do following treatment.
- Functions as a team member in care of patients.
- Documents patient care and billing information timely and in accordance with department standards.
- Maintains clinical productivity standards.
- Participates in in-services, staff meetings, quality activities and aspects of program development.
- Maintains awareness of patient safety issues within their home and in the use of equipment. Assists in the maintenance of patient care equipment as needed.
- May have other duties assigned as needed.

Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant program required.
- Current Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license within State of practice.
- CPR certification with American Heart Association or America Red Cross.
- 1 year of experience.
