Position: Research Analyst 1 – Transfer Agent (Contract)/Investment Operations Specialist
Company: Fortune 500 Financial Services Firm
Location: 213 Market Street, Harrisburg, PA 17101 (Hybrid – onsite & remote)
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Pay Rate: $18–$20 per hour (W2)
About the Role
We are seeking a Research Analyst to support the Transfer Agent – Research team. This role focuses on daily financial operations, reconciliations, and account maintenance. It’s a great opportunity for detail-oriented professionals with experience in financial services, research, or client account operations to gain exposure in investment services.
Key Responsibilities
- Retrieve and reconcile daily external bank reports with internal records.
- Process transactions including account openings, closures, and updates.
- Monitor and reconcile same-day wire activity.
- Research and resolve ledger discrepancies, escalating issues as needed.
- Maintain account information in internal recordkeeping systems.
- Support internal and external audit confirmation requests.
- Assist with projects and initiatives to improve team efficiency.
- Provide support to junior team members when needed.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in business/finance or equivalent work experience.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
- 1+ year experience in financial operations, reconciliations, or research.
- Prior experience in back-office operations or administrative support.
- Familiarity with recordkeeping or transaction processing systems.
Contract Details
- Duration: 6 Months
- Schedule: Hybrid (onsite at 213 Market St, Harrisburg, PA + remote days)
- Pay Range: $18–$20/hr (W2, non-exempt, overtime eligible)
