Overview


We are a fastpaced, patientcentered dermatology practice seeking a skilled and reliable Medical Assistant to support our clinical team. The ideal candidate is detailoriented, comfortable with high patient volume, and committed to delivering an exceptional patient experience. Dermatology experience is preferred but not required; we provide training for candidates with strong clinical fundamentals and a willingness to learn.


Key Responsibilities


Clinical Support

  • Prepare exam rooms, equipment, and supplies for dermatology visits and procedures
  • Assist providers with medical and cosmetic dermatology procedures (biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, injections, etc.)
  • Perform accurate and timely rooming: vitals, medication reconciliation, allergy verification, and chief complaint documentation
  • Scribe during patient visits when needed, ensuring accurate and complete charting
  • Apply and remove dressings, assist with wound care, and provide postprocedure instructions
  • Manage specimen collection, labeling, and preparation for pathology
  • Maintain strict adherence to infection control and OSHA standards


Patient Experience & Communication

  • Greet and room patients with professionalism and empathy
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, skincare routines, and postprocedure care
  • Support cosmetic consultations by preparing rooms, documenting recommendations, and assisting with photography
  • Respond to patient messages and phone calls with clarity and timeliness


Operational & Administrative Support

  • Maintain inventory of clinical supplies and restock rooms daily
  • Ensure exam rooms remain clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
  • Process prior authorizations, prescriptions, and pharmacy communications
  • Support scheduling for followup visits, procedures, and cosmetic services
  • Collaborate with front desk, billing, and management to ensure smooth patient flow


Qualifications

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) preferred; equivalent experience considered
  • Prior dermatology or specialty practice experience is a plus
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and EMR systems (eClinicalWorks, ModMed, or similar)
  • Excellent communication skills and a patientfirst mindset
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a highvolume environment
  • Comfort with handson clinical procedures and assisting providers
  • Professionalism, reliability, and a teamoriented attitude


Schedule & Compensation

  • Fulltime position (Monday-Friday)
  • Competitive pay based on experience
