The role focuses on providing expert nursing care in a Cardiovascular Unit handling a high volume of complex cardiology cases, including interventional procedures and open-heart surgeries.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Current RN licensure with ICU experience, preferably in cardiovascular care
- Skilled in monitoring and managing post-operative cardiac patients
- Experience with advanced cardiac procedures such as PTCA, stenting, TAVR, MitraClip, and pacemaker management
- Ability to work within a collaborative multidisciplinary team
- Strong clinical judgment and patient advocacy skills
Responsibilities include:
- Assessing and treating patients with acute or chronic cardiovascular conditions
- Managing post-operative care for open heart surgery patients within 18-24 hours post-op
- Participating in electrophysiology studies and congestive heart failure management
- Collaborating with clinical research teams involved in national trials
- Adhering strictly to attendance policies to ensure consistent patient care
