Position Summary:
The CNC Service Technician supports the inspection, setup, preparation, maintenance, and repair of CNC machinery for service, shipment, and installation. This role works hands-on with a variety of CNC machine brands and assists senior technicians with troubleshooting, teardown/reassembly, rigging preparation, and preventative maintenance. The technician also supports warehouse coordination, documentation (including photos), and ensures all work is performed safely in accordance with OSHA and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform basic setup, inspection, and preparation of CNC machines for service, shipment, or installation
- Maintain, diagnose and repair all brands of CNC machines such as Hass, Mazak, Okuma CNC Tech
- Assist with basic mechanical and electrical tasks related to CNC equipment, including cleaning, minor adjustments, and component handling
- Inspect forklifts before use and report maintenance or safety issues
- Take photos of inventory, equipment, or shipments as required for documentation
- Follow all safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and company policies when handling machinery and equipment
- Work with warehouse staff to ensure timely and accurate material handling
Key Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of CNC machinery setup, inspection, and preparation for shipment, service, and installation
- Ability to diagnose, maintain, and repair CNC machines across multiple brands (e.g., Haas, Mazak, Okuma)
- Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude (cleaning, minor adjustments, component handling, and general equipment support)
- Experience assisting with machine teardown, reassembly, rigging preparation, and preventative maintenance activities
- Strong commitment to safety, including adherence to OSHA guidelines and safe equipment-handling practices
- Ability to complete required documentation accurately, including taking clear photos of inventory, equipment, and shipments
- Familiarity with forklift pre-use inspections and the ability to identify and report safety or maintenance concerns
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate effectively with service technicians and warehouse staff
- Dependable, organized, and able to follow procedures while working in a fast-paced shop/warehouse environment
