ADMISSIONS AND CONCESSIONS TEAM MEMBER (SEASONAL PART-TIME)

Reports To:CONCESSIONS COORDINATOR

SUMMARY:

Under supervision, operates a clean, safe and organized concession stand, per the guidelines of MBCP&R and the Health Department, while providing excellent customer service and a positive work environment for our employees. This position also includes collecting admission fees from patrons attending recreational events at MBCP&R facilities. This is a seasonal position (From May-September). This position is flexible between two locations: Lambert Pool, and War Memorial Pool. You may be scheduled to work at either location.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Requirements -

At least 16 years of age

Reliable transportation

Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights/weekends

Pass a background check

Capacity to understand and follow oral and written orders

Understanding of credit card functions

Character Traits -

Punctual and dependable

Outgoing, personable personality

Effective communicator

Remain composed under pressure

Ability to communicate kindly and professionally with patrons at all times.

Electronics -

Must have a device where company apps can be downloaded

Must have a way to communicate (phone, email, etc.)

Physical Demands -

Physical effort is frequently required, such as standing and walking; moderate lifting of 20-50 pounds; crouching, kneeling, and bending at the waist may also be necessary

Extended periods of sitting and standing are crucial for this position

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Ability to accurately take and prepare patrons orders
• Maintain a clean workspace
• Document inventory, stock items, and notify the supervisor when product is needed before items run out
• Handle credit card sales
• Effectively use the Point-of-Sales system for food orders, admissions, etc.
• Opening and closing duties as assigned
• Other duties as assigned

WORK CONDITIONS

Concession facilities are covered, climate-controlled facilities. Exposure to heat, rain, cold or wind may be possible. Certain locations do not have very effective AC and will likely be warm during the summer.

WORK SCHEDULE

Scheduling for this position is up to 40 hours a week based on availability. Overtime is given when necessary and approved by the supervisor.
