Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract opportunity is full-time and follows the full school year schedule, focusing on both Special Education and General Education classrooms with students whose needs range from mild to severe. The position is itinerant, offering diverse experiences across multiple school sites and the chance to make a meaningful impact for learners at various grade levels.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold current CDE (Colorado Department of Education) Authorization for educational sign language interpreting.
- Achieve a minimum EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) score of 3.5 or higher.
- Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL).
- Previous experience in a school-based or youth-focused interpreting environment preferred.
- Adaptability for working with a wide range of student abilities and moving between school sites.
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver clear, accurate interpreting services for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across classroom and school activities.
- Work directly within both Special Education and General Education environments, adapting to the specific communication needs of each student.
- Foster an inclusive learning atmosphere by supporting student engagement and participation.
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to ensure students’ access to curriculum and school activities.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to guidelines and ethical standards for educational interpreters.
