Bookkeeper (Hybrid)
LHH is actively seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper for our client based in metro Nashville. This role is critical in maintaining accurate financial records, managing job costing, and supporting project accounting functions. The ideal candidate will be familiar with construction-specific accounting practices and software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks
- Manage accounts payable, including subcontractor payments
- Track and reconcile job costs, budgets, and change orders.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
- Assist with audits, tax filings, and year-end closing procedures.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting.
- Maintain vendor and subcontractor records, including W-9s and certificates of insurance.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper (minimum 3 years preferred).
- General understanding of construction accounting principles, including job cost coding
- Proficiency in construction accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Pay Details: $65,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
