Factory Engineer

Fuquay-Varina, NC - Full Time


Productive Resources(www.productiveresources.com)is seeking acandidateto be part of our engineering team at John Deere's facility in Fuquay-Varina, NC. As a member of our team, the selected candidate willplan, coordinate, and perform manufacturing engineering work for a project or process. Operate in a team environment within either the enterprise product delivery process or the enterprise order fulfillment process. At this level, projects are of moderate scope and responsibility or may be a significant portion of a major and diverse project or process; decisions are made within established guidelines and may be reviewed by supervisors and/or managers. May assign, coordinate and review portions of the work for support personnel, contractors and suppliers.

This full-time position is indefinite in duration with theopportunityof professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization.


Duties:

  • Provide daily manufacturing engineering and quality engineering support to existing assembly line.
  • Maintain assembly documentation.
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues.
  • Investigate and implement continuous improvement ideas.
  • Eliminate safety and/or ergonomic risks.
  • Establish routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, methods documentation, quality plans and labor standards for revisions to current operations and/or new parts or programs of moderate scope.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting for current operations.
  • Innovate and implement cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas of moderate scope.
  • Apply electronic tools across a broad range of applications, including e-builds, modeling and simulations.
  • Develop and implement plans to support lean manufacturing through the Deere Production System of moderate scope.
  • Design operations layouts and improve material flow and material presentation.
  • Lead analysis, development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technology.
  • Analyze and make modifications to existing performance pay plans; assist in development of baseline data for new performance pay plans.

Requirements:

  • Basic computer skills including Windows.
  • SAP knowledge.
  • 3-5 years experience with ME or QE in manufacturing environment involved in the assembly of product.


Preferred:

  • Creo.
  • Autocad.
