Job Title: Distribution Associate
Pay: Up to $22.00/hr
Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Location: Allentown, PA
Job Type: Contract-to-hire
Job Overview:
Seeking a full-time distribution associate responsible for ensuring that materials are properly received, handled, accounted for, stored, replenished when necessary, and shipped or delivered as promised. The associate also will perform light maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily cycle counting. Check inventory of materials against list prepared by business system to verify the inventory levels are accurate.
- Receive stock, count, and verify contents.
- Enter description of stock received, including part number, quantity, into the computer; and pull backorders that can be shipped.
- Stock and replenish materials on proper shelves and on carousel part retrieval system.
- Operate the carousel part retrieval system and manifest system.
- Pick, pack, and process orders for shipments
- Process counter’s sales and handle pickup of purchased materials.
- Maintain operation, upkeep, and daily closing of carousel and manifest systems.
- Load and un-load freight carriers.
- Load packages for local delivery service.
- Handle Vendor Manage Inventories and consigned inventories.
- Perform light maintenance on equipment and facilities.
- Handle projects that pertain to Warehouse utilization

Qualifications:
- Minimum of high school degree plus materials handling program or equivalent job experience
- Strong computer, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)
- Excellent problem solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work as part of a team and support outside sales associates in order to win customer business
- Use of carousel retrieval and manifest systems
- Use of basic office equipment, including but not limited to copier, fax, shredder
- Use of warehouse equipment, including but not limited to, thermoplastic swaging unit and tagging machine
- Use of company van – insurable licensed driver
- Excellent organization skills.
- Understanding of a change control system.

Physical Requirements:
- Clean warehouse work environment and customer sites
- Driving and sitting for extended periods
- Lifting, bending, and reaching 80%-90% of time.
