Job DescriptionJob Opportunity: Locum Obstetrician/Gynecologist
We are seeking a Locum Obstetrician/Gynecologist to begin as soon as possible for ongoing work near Tapteal West, WA. A Washington state license is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Shift Requirements: We are looking for providers who can cover several (5-8) in-house 24-hour call shifts each month on a long-term basis.
- Call Type: In-house.
- Practice Environment: Inpatient care.
- Essential Skills:
- Management of low-risk and high-risk pregnancies
- Fetal heart rate interpretation (NST/CST/FSE)
- Performing and interpreting OB ultrasounds
- Routine vaginal deliveries, including low forceps assistance
- Decision-making for cesarean sections
- Handling complicated deliveries
- Experience with C-sections, breech births, multiple births, abruptions, and VBACs
- Repair of third and fourth-degree lacerations
- Preferred Skills:
- Level I/Screening (viability) and Level II/Targeted (anatomic) ultrasounds
- Surgical gynecology, including open and laparoscopic procedures
- Operative/major procedures (including diagnostic) such as ectopic pregnancy management, ovary removal, cystectomy, and extensive laparoscopic surgeries
Qualifications
- Certifications: BLS certification is required.
- Fellowship: Preferred.
- Licensure: Must be licensed in Washington or hold IMLC.
- Trauma Level: Experience in a Level 2 Trauma center is preferred.
- EMR System: Familiarity with Epic is a plus.
- Credentialing: Expect a credentialing process of 90 to 120 days.
Compensation and Benefits
- Referral Bonus: A $500 bonus for any referral who completes 30 days of work.
- Call Compensation: Competitive rates for weeknight call premiums if called in; weekend call equals 6 regular hours per day premium when called in.
