Job Position: Intervention Specialist (Warrensville Heights, OH)
Are you a skilled and dedicated Intervention Specialist seeking an exciting career opportunity? Birch Agency is hiring passionate professionals like you to make a positive impact on the lives of students. This opportunity is joining a public charter school in Warrensville Heights and will support students from Kindergarten through 8th grade. This is an on-site full-time contract position for Intervention Specialists with starting pay of $45/hr.
Responsibilities

Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with IEPs and 504 Plans

Provide specialized instruction and support to help students achieve academic and social goals

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create a nurturing learning environment
-
Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
-
Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
Skills
-
Proven experience as a Intervention Specialist/Special Education Teacher

Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and educational methodology

Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms

Excellent communication and instructional skills
-
Ability to act as mediator between children

Cool-tempered, friendly, reliable, and adaptable
Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education (or related field)

Valid state (OH) teaching certification/license in Special Education

Prior experience working with students with special needs is preferred

Strong knowledge of special education laws and regulations
