Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher to support K-12 students in Claremont, NH, under a contract position through June 12, 2026 (tentative). The role focuses on virtual special education service delivery, leveraging expertise in New Hampshires education system and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) using the NHSEIS platform.
- Collaborate virtually with teachers, parents, and service providers via platforms such as Canvas, Zoom, and district-specific tools.
- Utilize data and behavior-tracking systems like Panorama to monitor and support student progress.
- Apply knowledge of NH special education law (IDEA and state regulations) ensuring compliance in a virtual learning environment.
- Conduct behavioral observations and prepare detailed reports to inform instruction and support.
- Provide positive behavioral supports tailored to individual and group settings.
- Work closely with school administrators, colleagues, families, and community members to enhance student outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
- Current New Hampshire special education certification.
- Prior experience as a New Hampshire virtual special education case manager.
- Strong understanding of behavioral and affective disorders.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in English.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local mandates governing special education services.
