Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A short-term opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to provide FMLA coverage at an elementary school in Hopkins, MN. This contract position supports a resource-level special education caseload and is ideal for educators holding a Tier 3 or 4 Minnesota teaching license. The assignment begins on January 26, 2026, and extends through mid-March or mid-April, with a full-time schedule from Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instructional support to students with diverse learning needs in a resource setting
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with legal and district guidelines
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to ensure student progress
- Monitor and document student performance and behavior consistently
- Maintain compliance with all district and state special education requirements
Qualifications:
- Valid Tier 3 or 4 Minnesota Special Education Teaching License is required
- Experience working as a resource-level special education instructor preferred
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, instructional strategies, and supports
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to engage effectively with students and school staff
Location & Schedule:
- Position located in Hopkins, MN at an elementary school
- Full-time, Monday-Friday with a 37.5-hour workweek (includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch)
