Position: 1st Class Structural Welder
Job Location: Port Allen, LA Westwego, LA
Hutco Branch: Harvey, LA (Apply at Hutco branch)
Rate of Pay: $23.00 to $27.00 Based on Experience (overtime after 40 hours)
Description:
Hutco Inc. is looking for 1st class structural welders for a shipyard located in Port Allen, LA and Westwego, LA. Looking for first class skilled workers only with shipyard experience. A test will be done on location to determine your capability. No twic card required. NO per diem available. Long term work!! LOTS OF HOURS AVAILABLE!!
Requirements:
Enter and work in internally confined spaces.
Manipulate and transport loads of up to 50 pounds over distances of up to 200 feet,
approximately 1 to 6 times during each 8 hour shift.
Manipulate and operate all machines and tools essential to the performance of the position
of Welder.
Traverse gangways and scaffolding at varying heights.
Traverse and negotiate uneven heights between dock and vessel.
Traverse and negotiate uneven surfaces.
Maneuver around piping obstructions and web frames.
Ascend and work at heights.
Stooping, squatting, twisting, kneeling and reaching
