Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer III to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical understanding of mechanical equipment, maintenance systems, and spare parts management. This position requires extensive collaboration across Maintenance, Manufacturing Engineering, and Indirect Materials departments to streamline MRO processes and ensure smooth operations.
Note: Local candidates are strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and investigate the design, operation, and maintenance of mechanical systems, equipment, and processes.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical diagrams; develop sketches and technical documentation.
- Plan and manage equipment spare parts using tools like Maximo or similar maintenance and planning systems.
- Develop and maintain spare parts cataloging, storage strategies (Indirect Crib), and sourcing solutions.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to understand ordering strategies, lead times, and cost factors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve equipment uptime and MRO material availability.
- Utilize tools such as Excel, project trackers, and CAD software for effective communication and planning.
- Support vendor cross-referencing for international/domestic materials and cost-effective sourcing.
- Work independently and exercise sound judgment while contributing to broader plant efficiency initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field OR 10+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or maintenance engineering role.
- 5–7 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Maintenance, Manufacturing Assembly, Machining, Crib Management, Sourcing, or Materials Planning.
- Strong understanding of mechanical equipment, spare parts, and bill of materials.
- Hands-on experience with maintenance management systems (e.g., Maximo) or other planning tools.
- Strong Excel and project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with suppliers, technical teams, and internal stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in technical sourcing or indirect materials procurement.
- Familiarity with MRO storage systems and inventory optimization.
- Experience with CAD or other engineering-related software tools.
