Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A rewarding opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support students across K-12 in a dynamic school setting in Cambridge, MA. This contract position spans from January 2026 through June 2026, offering a chance to make a meaningful impact on a diverse student caseload in self-contained, resource, and special day classrooms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored, high-quality instruction and support for students with special needs across grades K-12, including self-contained and resource classrooms.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with state standards and student needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student growth academically, socially, and emotionally.
- Maintain detailed records and communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active state teaching license in Special Education.
- Experience working with high school students as well as grades K-5 and 6-8 preferred.
- Proven ability to manage diverse caseloads effectively, including self-contained and special day classrooms.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with staff, families, and support teams.
- Commitment to fostering student-centered, individualized learning experiences.
Position Details:
- Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts
- Contract Duration: January 2026 June 2026
- Schedule: 5 days per week, 30-37.5 hours weekly
- Caseload involves students across K-12 with varied learning needs.
