Job DescriptionAbout the Role
We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Carpenter to join our team . The ideal candidate will bring strong technical skills, hands-on experience, and the ability to lead small crews. This position is physically demanding and requires precision, safety awareness, and a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities

Complete carpentry work as assigned by the Carpenter Foreman.

Perform framing, subflooring, sheathing, roofing, siding, window and door installation, and exterior trim.

Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, shear schedules, and elevations.

Accurately measure, cut, assemble, and install lumber, joists, beams, roofs, and complex structures.

Install hardware, flashing, structural steel items, and other framing components.
-
Lead and direct one to two crew members on assigned tasks.

Safely operate hand tools and power tools (saws, drills, nail guns, grinders, etc.).

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site.

Comply with company safety standards, rules, and procedures.

Travel to field assignments as needed.
Requirements

Minimum 6 years of carpentry or construction experience (preferred).

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

Proficiency in reading blueprints and using levels, tape measures, and other measurement tools.

Strong knowledge of framing, roof theory, and complex carpentry tasks (stairs, advanced roof cuts, etc.).

Ability to lift and handle up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work (bending, climbing, balancing, stretching).

Comfortable working at heights above 6 feet (ladders and scaffolding).

Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation.

Must be licensed to operate rough terrain forklifts.

Excellent eyesight, depth perception, and communication skills (English - read, write, speak).

Must provide a basic set of required hand tools (see list provided).

Working Conditions

Construction site environment with exposure to dust, dirt, noise, and varying weather conditions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Job Site visits are performed in/outdoors involving exposure to all weather and hazardous conditions. Exposure to noise at levels requiring ear protection and other personal protective equipment.
